John Klopotowski is a recent graduate of UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism.I completed my master's thesis on Agos, a bilingual newspaper in Turkey that continues to publish weekly, despite increasing attacks on independent media outlets around it. I’m also a fluent speaker of Arabic and Turkish, and I’ve worked a number of translation projects, for both academic and journalistic works. This includes “Lethal Dissent,” coproduced by The World & On Spec, which was on One World Media’s longlist for best 2025 podcast/radio show. I’m currently reporting on the 2026 World Cup.
